AUTUMN EQUINOX 2025

Rowen...found ok, nowhere to park so decided to have a drink at pub which had car park. Weather nice too. Then to Capel Scion. Amazing seating...pews like auditorium, great. Had a look round, nice church. Got passports stamped. Then started drive to llangelynnin.
Drove around a bit, no go. Stopped in car, me a little walk, still no go. Decided to input church again...noticed option for "old church". Brill, found it. But only car park.
Long walk round through wet areas of fields, and climb. Found! Realized congregation in (found to be for Harvest Festival). Had a sing then realised not brought passport books!



After 20m returned. R already getting to know everybody. Lady told us they had a new church built awhile ago but people got together and came back here (12th century!). Got passports stamped.
Back to Rhyl Travelodge. 
In morning went to Abergwyngregyn. Viewed church after walk from car. No passport stamps. Me got car, parked in dodgy place, walked past it! Noticed community centre ..picked R up (caffi not open)...but community centre also called caffi hen felin! Had coffee and got passports stamped.

On to BANGOR...parked car. Uni on hill not cathedral! Parts looked like ruins. Then to cathdedral. Viewed. Stamped passport. Then on to Trespass Outdoor Shop...again had passport stamped. Then headed back to Rhyl. Saw bit of sunset but clouds when sun actually set. Similar time to official equinox.

Castle Ring, Cannock Chase Started out in the morning in new car. Went to Castle Ring in Cannock Chase. I drew a line on my Ancient Britain map where I thought the Belinus leyline was. According to my calculation it disects Castle Ring. Further research had shown that another source thought it disected Meon Hill near Stratford-on-Avon, so I needed to visit both! As an aside, I also found that a couple had come up with a theory about 'leylines'. They thought they were natural tracks made by animals, posibly migrating herds, and then used by man later as communication networks, interesting. At Castle Ring I walked completely round the large hill fort. My rods crossed all round the perimeter except for either side where I found the leyline, 23 paces in width again, disecting the site in a SW-NE direction. Looking NE in the distance was the coal power station at Rugely. Castle Ring was thought to have been occupied around AD 50, by the Celtic Cornovii tribe.The fort at it...

Llanasa: St. Cyndeyrn's church Trelawnyd: St Michael's church (stamp is located on the post of the church noticeboard, left of gate) Drove direct...left car then walked to Trelawnyd. SAW CHURCH BUT FORGOT ABOUT STAMP    Tremeirchion: Corpus Christi church St. Asaph: Both the cathedral and parish church stamps are in a box attached to the gate of the south porch of the parish church. ( Both the cathedral and parish church are open on a few days each week and neither is open on a Monday or Saturday)    TREMEIRCHION Church...drive straight there. Realised no PASSPORTS! Retrace to pub, while pooing. Back, found them in window! Then back to treneircchion church to get passports stamped.   TRELAWNYD Church. Then walk back to car at Llanasa. NO TIME.
