Winter Solstice 2006
The Bridestones, Cheshire
(Not our picture!) We arrived back in the UK at Liverpool airport, and on the drive back, stopped off near Congleton to revisit a site we'd stopped off at one time on the way to Angelsey, The Bridestones. These two colossal stones are the entrance to what was once an enormous burial chamber - although many of the other stones have been removed. This site is particularly interesting as we used to drive past it every weekend on the way to see my grandparents, but you can't quite see it from the road, so we'd never known it was there!
